Itza Media Limited (“Itza”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates worldspaceacademy.io, the website for the Rocket Revolution Challenge and the wider World Space Academy programme, delivered in partnership with World Space Week, the BBC, the Villars Institute and UCL (the “Website”).
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Website, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 (“DPA”) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”).
This Policy covers the Website only. Once a student begins learning activities on the ITZA learner platform (itza.io), their use of that platform is instead governed by the Itza Privacy Policy, which contains ITZA’s full commitments on children’s privacy and age-appropriate design.

2. When we collect information from you
We gather information when you:
Register your school for the Rocket Revolution Challenge via our registration form.
Sign up to receive Challenge updates, the Teacher Toolkit, or other communications.
Visit the Website, including through cookies and similar technologies (see our
Cookie Policy).
Contact us directly, for example with a question about the Challenge.

School Code / registration form (to register your school for the Challenge):
First name and last name.
School name and school address, town/city and postcode.
Teacher Toolkit sign-up form:

Email address, and your explicit agreement to receive communications from us.
Usage data:
Pages visited, time on page, and general browsing behaviour.
Technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, collected via cookies (see our
Cookie Policy).
Children’s data: The Website and its forms are designed for use by teachers and other school staff, and we do not direct or invite students to fill in any form on this Website. Students take part in learning activities on itza.io, which has its own protections for learners under 18, including additional safeguards for children under 13. If a young person nonetheless submits their own information through one of our forms without having been prompted to by us, we apply the same privacy protections set out in this Policy, and we would encourage them to involve a parent, guardian or teacher.
4. How we collect information about you
We collect information directly when you fill in a form on the Website (these forms are processed via HubSpot), and automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you browse the Website. See our

5. What we use your information for
We use your personal information to:
Process your school’s registration and confirm your place in the Challenge.
Administer the Challenge.
Provide access to the Teacher Toolkit and related classroom resources.
Send you updates about the Challenge and World Space Academy, where you have agreed to receive these.
Understand how the Website is used, so we can improve it.
We share your name, email address and school name with World Space Week, so that they can also administer and communicate with you about your school’s participation in the Challenge. We do not use your information to communicate with you on behalf of our other programme partners (the BBC, the Villars Institute or UCL); any such communications would only come from Itza.
6. Our legal basis for processing data
We rely on:
Legitimate interests — to process your school’s registration and administer participation in the Challenge, and to understand how the Website is used.
Consent — for sending you email updates about the Challenge, World Space Academy or the Teacher Toolkit, which you agree to separately when signing up. You can withdraw this consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us.
Legal compliance — where we are required to process data to meet a legal or regulatory obligation.
7. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. If you register your school for the Challenge, we share your name, email address and school name with World Space Week, who co-administer the Challenge with us. We use the following suppliers to process personal information on our behalf:
HubSpot, which processes our Teacher Toolkit and newsletter sign-up forms.
Webflow, which hosts the Website.
Google reCAPTCHA, which helps protect our Teacher Toolkit sign-up form from spam and automated abuse.
We have contracts in place with these suppliers requiring them to protect your data in line with this Policy and applicable law.
8. International transfers
Some of our suppliers (for example HubSpot) may store or process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the recipient country having an adequate level of protection recognised by the Information Commissioner’s Office, or the use of Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. How long we keep your data
In line with Itza’s wider data retention practices, we keep contact information for up to five years after your last interaction with us, and marketing data until you opt out, or for a maximum of two years from collection, whichever is sooner. After the relevant period, we securely delete or anonymise your information.
10. Your data rights
Under data protection law, you have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
Request erasure of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Object to, or request restriction of, processing based on legitimate interests.
